National Board Inspection Code

inspections for the repair or alteration of pressure equipment.
European Pressure Equipment Directive
(PED)/CE Marking
If you market your product in
Europe, AVE can assist you in obtaining the required CE mark.
AVE offers Notified Body Services and conformity assessment for
the following EC Directives: Pressure Equipment, Simple Pressure
Equipment, Machinery, EMC, Low Voltage and ATEX.

Inspection/Engineering Services
In addition to our presence in
the USA, AVE is able to provide services around the globe. Inspection
services to ASME code stamped vessels for export worldwide and
to customer supplied specifications where National Board Commissioned
Inspector or AWS Certified Welding credentials are accepted.
Transportation Pressure Equipment
Inspection & Certification
US DOT – AVE is designated
as an approval agency for approval and certification of new construction
and periodic testing and inspection of DOT specification IM 101
& IM 102 (UN) Intermodal Portable tanks.
AVE is registered with DOT to
provide inspection and design approval for cargo tank motor vehicles.
AVE is registered with DOT to
provide inspection, testing and certification of new, reheat treated
or rebuilt containers for the following specifications: TC-4LM,
-4BM, -4BAM.
Marking – AVE is registered
with DOT to offer Notified Body Services for the Transportation
Pressure Equipment Directive (TPED).
Other Services
Source Inspections – AVE
offers on site physical source inspections or witness actual testing
to contracted specifications.
Vendor Audits – AVE can
verify competency and quality control, affording a valuable second
